BAF Base Bashar, 07 July 2019: Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI), the apex training establishment of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), has been awarded with ‘BAF Colours’ on 07 July 2019 for its outstanding achievements in preparing future military leaders. Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc has handed over the BAF Flag to the Officer Commanding of CSTI at the parade ground of BAF Base Bashar.
The seed of establishing a premier training institute was sown in 1976 by the then Chief of Air Staff AVM Khademul Basher, Bir Uttam, Tbt. After seven years of hard and commitment, CSTI was inaugurated on 1983 as a full-fledged training institute of BAF with the motto of ‘Protiva Proshikkhon Progoti’. As one of the leading training institutes, CSTI conducts different courses for all branch officers including online academic programmes for young officers of BAF. Since its formation, this institute has educated more than one and a half thousands military officers through more than hundred courses. It has so far trained more than 200 overseas officers and 60 Army and Naval officers. Through this, this institute has travelled beyond the academics to an endless friendship with friendly services and nations. Last few years, CSTI has modernised its appliances and developed its course curriculums according to the requirement of this century. This institute is proudly known for its contribution to prepare the future leaders who can serve the nation with dignity and honour. The institute is continuously aspiring to achieve international standard and world-class reputation under a universal umbrella of ‘Home of Thoughts’.
